Asian Chicken Salad

Marinate chicken for at least 5 hours in a mixture of the following.

1/4 c. teriyaki sauce
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. white vinegar
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. Sugar
4 chicken breast halves, skin and fat removed

Grill or oven roast chicken until juices run out clear. Shred chicken. Set a side.

Shred a head of iceberg lettuce and any other desired veggies. (We like carrots, zucchini, red onion, and cucumbers....but really you can add whatever you have, as long as it is shredded.)

Ginger-Soy Dressing:
1/3 c. oil
1/4 c. white vinegar
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 T. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)

Toss salad with dressing, chicken and chow mien noodles. (You can also add, crunched, toasted noodles too.) Serve immediately.

Before the throne of God above

This is just a test.......

Hello all! It is my desire to stay in touch with family and friends with this blog. I am not sure that anyone cares what I will write about, but I thought it would be fun to do anyway. You all will have to excuse the occasional typo and misspelling. I am quite sure though that if I waited to check it, and check it again, I would for sure talk myself out of ever posting anything. My Testimony

Growing up in a Christian family is such a blessing. I don't recall a day in my life when I did not know about Christ's amazing work on the cross. When I was little I learned a lot about the bible and about God's plan of redemptive history and salvation. As I grew up, the Lord used my parents and His Word to train and guide me. They taught me that it was MY sin that Christ died for, and that MY sin was fully paid for through His sacrifice. He rose from the dead and so will all those who trust only in Him. It was at a very young age that I acknowledged my sinfulness and my need for a Savior. I understood then, that I could do nothing on my own to earn God's favor. It was only through the sacrifice of Christ, as my substitute that I could stand before a righteous judge. When I confessed this total dependency on Christ and repented for the sins that I had committed, Christ became Lord of my life. Since then I have learned and am learning so much about who God is, and what He requires of us as His Children. I am joyful as I think about Christ's return, when He will take me home to live with Him. In His glory, I will praise Him as my Lord, Savior and King forever!
